Essentially, it's the same drug. In reality, however, they turn out to be two completely different drugs – they have almost nothing in common.
Stanozolol
Stanozolol is a derivative of dihydrotestosterone (DHT). The stanozolol molecule differs from the DHT molecule only by the presence of a methyl group at position 17 (which protects the substance from complete destruction during the first pass through the liver) and a pyrazole ring attached to ring A (positions 1 and 2).
Action of Stanozolol
It is mainly the presence of the pyrazole ring that determines the properties of stanozolol. From its "parent," stanozolol inherited only the resistance to aromatization – "Winny," as it is affectionately called, has no androgenic properties.
But it has many other – completely unique – properties, which are worth discussing only after we understand the forms of release of this drug. There are exactly two: aqueous suspension and tablets.
The first is intended for intramuscular injections, and the second – for oral administration, that is, through the mouth. Recently, however, an oil solution of stanozolol has appeared, but dissolving anabolic steroids with a methyl group at position seventeen in oil is a special case, so we will not consider this option today.
To put it bluntly, an aqueous suspension is the same tablet crushed into powder and dissolved in water. The aqueous suspension can be taken orally – then it will be no different from the tablet.
But if injected into a muscle, we get a completely different drug with properties sharply different from oral stanozolol.
Difference Between Suspension and Tablets
The thing is, stanozolol injected into a muscle avoids the first pass through the liver and enters the general bloodstream unchanged.
When taken orally and reaching the stomach, it cannot avoid this pass; the liver destroys the original substance almost completely – less than twenty percent enters the general bloodstream. However, two metabolites are formed, which are active – they determine the properties of oral stanozolol.
Once again: oral "Winny" is mainly two metabolites resulting from the liver's destruction of the original substance. Injectable – is actual stanozolol.
The main distinguishing feature of oral stanozolol is its ability to suppress the secretion and activity of sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG). Just 0.2 mg per kilogram of body weight causes SHBG levels to drop by 50%.
And this means a noticeable increase in the level of free androgen or anabolic steroid taken together with oral stanozolol.

It should be noted that the ability to neutralize SHBG efforts is almost entirely absent in injectable stanozolol: a 10 mg tablet is equivalent in effectiveness to 400 mg of aqueous suspension.
However, it has many valuable properties. First, it is the only anabolic steroid that stimulates the growth of "slow" muscle fibers and accelerates collagen synthesis.
Secondly, injectable stanozolol can suppress the activity of progestins, which is why it is often used in combination with trenbolone (less often with oxymetholone, even less often with nandrolone) to neutralize the negative aspects of these AAS.
But that's not all the benefits of stanozolol in suspension form. Injectable stanozolol also reduces the secretion and activity of cortisol, which means it protects muscles from destruction and helps maintain strength levels even under conditions of inadequate dietary caloric intake.
Finally, this anabolic steroid can somewhat "boost" metabolism. Oral stanozolol lacks all these properties.
Oral or Injectable: Why, When, and How?
Oral stanozolol is contraindicated for women – virilization phenomena can begin after taking just one or two tablets. Injectable stanozolol can be used by women without much concern.
In small doses (10-20 mg per day), oral stanozolol has almost no effect on the production of endogenous testosterone.
This is utilized (or rather, was utilized) by athletes in disciplines where even a slight increase in active testosterone levels can affect results.
Oral stanozolol is indicated for men over 50 years of age. The fact is that the level of total testosterone does not decrease significantly with age, but the level of free testosterone drops noticeably – which affects libido and overall well-being.
Testosterone injections do not always help in solving this problem, but "Winny" can become an indispensable assistant. It is only necessary to remember the rather negative, to put it mildly, effect of this anabolic steroid on the heart.
As for injectable stanozolol, due to its properties, it is practically an indispensable tool for preparing for bodybuilding and fitness competitions. And in general, under strict diet conditions.
It is only necessary to remember that the use of stanozolol "solo" has a very negative effect on the joints – the amount of synovial fluid in them gradually decreases, and there is a feeling of "sand."

In general, this drug is extremely interesting. Its use can bring a lot of benefits – of course, if you know its features, use it wisely, and only after consulting a specialist.
