Olympia 2022 Results in the 212 Pound Category
In the previous Olympia 2021 in the 212 Pound Division, Derek Lunsford left no chance for Shawn Clarida and became the deserved titleholder. This year, Derek moved to the open category, where he once again amazed everyone with his phenomenal form and made a lot of noise!
With Lunsford's move to the men's open division, Clarida and Elgargni became the main contenders for the first place. Clarida qualified for both the 212-pound category and the open division.
Nevertheless, he decided to compete in the 212-pound weight class, and this decision can hardly be called wrong.

Oleg Krivy 5th Place
Oleg Krivy closed the top 5. This is not the first appearance of the Ukrainian athlete on the Olympia stage. The last time Oleg appeared on the "main" stage was in 2020.
Back then, the athlete took 6th place. After two years of hard work, Oleg rises one position higher, surpasses Keone Pearson, and takes 5th place.
This is an excellent result given the competition; every year the athlete raises his level.
If this trend continues, it is quite likely that in the future, we will see even greater progress and, as a result, a higher score from the judging panel.
Ahmad Ashkani 4th Place
Ahmad Ashkani improved his result compared to last year and climbed two steps higher in the tournament table. The result is 4th place and $6000 in prize money.
Kamal Elgargni 3rd Place
It was expected that Kamal Elgargni would take second place. However, the final result is similar to last year's Olympia — bronze. Kamal closes the top three in the 212-pound category and takes home a consolation prize of $10,000.
Angel Calderon Frias 2nd Place
This year, it was Angel Calderon Frias who prevented Elgargni from taking silver. According to the judging panel, the Spanish athlete demonstrated better form than Elgargni and was determined to be in second place.

Derek Lunsford, the main rival of Shawn Clarida, left the division and moved to the open category. This year, Shawn dominated the stage: voluminous, filled, hard, and carved. As a result, Clarida becomes a two-time titleholder.
